Do Now: Take out your notebooks and write what this video graphic conveys to you.
LiveType Tutorials
1) Start a project by clicking on Finder & finding livetype in the applications tab>open livetype. (click continue if it tells you the resolution should be changed)
2) First, go to Edit>Project Properities> and Choose HDV APPLE INTERMEDIATE CODEC 1080i60 (this will matter when it comes to your aspect ratio & the fac tthat we are shooting in High Definition / 16x9)
3) Check at bottom of Canvas that you are set to "FIT TO WINDOW"
4) Today you are going to make either and Opening Title Page or an End Page for your "All About Me"
(It must include your name and period #)
5) Together we will explore Text, Style, Effects, Timing & Attributes Tabs as well as Objects, Textures and Livefonts.
6) Understanding the Timeline is important, if you don't see something you added, try flip flopping the sequence layers
(top & bottom matter)
7)Make sure your timeline is LONG (At least 10 Seconds).... Then you may export
8)File>Render Movie> and click "render background" & Save to Desktop
9)To bring this into Final Cut you are going to go to FINAL CUT>FILE>IMPORT FILES & GRAB THE .MOV FILE INTO FINAL CUT
10) Then insert it into your final cut sequence and adjust the timing as needed.

*********Important********* Both of the above tutorials did not explain how to take a finished Livetype Graphic and bring it into Final Cut. In order to do that, you must:
1-Make SURE it's LONGER than You'll need so you can edit the timing DOWN in Final Cut (For Example, make something 10 seconds, that you know you only want up for about 5 seconds).
2-Go To File> RENDER MOVIE. **SELECT RENDER BACKGROUND BOX, Or else the background will not go with the .mov file, and Click Save. Be sure you know WHERE you just saved the File TO.
3. Go to Final Cut, File>Import> Files> and find the .mov livetype file (NOT THE LIVETYPE project file), but rather the exported movie file (.mov extension)
4. Add the file to your timeline and edit it down.
