Overview of Collaborative Project with Music Technology Students (Day 2 of 2).
Lesson: "Camera Moves with Meaning"
Objective: SWBAT film camera moves and various shot compositions depicted a particular feeling or meaning which can be conveyed to a Music Tech Student who then can compose a sound or song based on what they see in the video.
Do Now: Click this XXXXX and with the SOUND OFF, write in your journal the shots you see and the feeling you have while watching these shots.
Mini Lesson/Review of Rubric: Choose an emotion or feeling, and think about images you can shoot to convey those feelings.
Activity: Partner up and practice taking shots of those images. Import those shots & Export & Place in Drop box.
Closure: Write a Letter to the Music Tech student explaining the feeling you were trying to convey through this video, so he or she can compose the necessary sound to accompany your shot in order to effectively convey that message.
COMPILE THOSE SHOTS INTO A TIMELINE WITH SIMPLE FILTERS … AND GIVE VIDEO TO DAN, AND DAN CAN HAVE MUSIC TECH KIDS SCORE TO THE VIDEO… THE MUSIC THEY THINK FITS.
